Best sushi we have ever had in the US and we've been following the chef Mitzu for years. The fish is so fresh, delicately prepared and traditionally made. Mitzu is zealous about the quality. We love the mood at the sushi bar talking with Mitzu, other longtime or new devotees.
Very authentic Japanese sushi. I am bummed I didn't know about Kanda earlier. If you order frilly rolls, this is not your place. If you enjoy nigiri this is THE spot. We sat at the sushi bar and the owner made our food. He was delightfully kind and we let him take the reins. Snapper, mackerel, amberjack, toro, yellowtail, scallop, uni, salmon, barracuda, all sushi style and it was epic. Fish is high quality, and fresh. I read a few reviews complaining about price but IMO you get what you pay for and their fish quality is superb. I will definitely be back, thank you Kanda xx

Outstanding quality fish, authentic sushi. I sat at the sushi bar alone, had the chef make me what he thought were the 5 best nigiri choices of the day. All great. Don't use soy sauce or wasabi on this stuff. It's way too good for that. If you want large quantities of rolls with mayo sauce, this place probably won't be your jam.
Great sushi, very authentic Japanese sushi and food. Fish was fresh and great cuts. We also had the tempura and it was perfect. Everyone there was attentive and provided excellent customer service. If you are looking for authentic Japanese sushi and food, this place is it!
This place is the real deal! If you authentic sushi in TO then this is your place. Their lunch special is incredible and the vibes in the restaurant are exactly what I want from a great sushi spot. The sea eel sent me to the heavens above. The owners are extremely kind and attentive as well. Always great service. This is my go to spot now :)
The sushi here is the freshest around town great service we love visiting this sushi place it's not like fake sushi rolls so if you want the real deal this is the place for you
I ate at the sushi bar during lunch on a Friday. If you ever ate at Sugarfish, the quality here is comparable or better, and the prices are very reasonable considering how good the quality is. The albacore, bluefin tuna, and yellowtail were all truly exceptional. There are traditional hand rolls and sushi rolls, but this is not the place to go to for rolls with sauces or mayo on them, the sushi chef here is a bit of a purist. There are plenty of tables, high chairs for small children, and plenty of bar seating. I would recommend Kanda to satisfy the need for solid sushi.
